You may be aware that Erin Hope had a follow-up CT scan on Valentine's Day.
This evening we received a call from Erin Hope's Oncologist. There appears
to be 3 very small places in her left lower lung that are very suspicious of
recurrent cancer.
He says there is no real hurry to decide what we want to do but we need to
decide within the next two weeks. We can either do nothing and just watch
those spots and see what they do, or start chemo once again with the same or
different drugs, or surgery to remove the whole left lower lung segment. We
are leaning toward more chemo. He is going to consult with other doctors
around the country and the "Tumor Board" at Baptist Hospital will meet
Thursday, February 27 and will discuss Erin Hope at that time.
One thing we know for sure is that we need for you to pray, and to pray
hard. The type of cancer that she had was very aggressive and obviously,
very difficult to cure.
God has not let us down so far and I know that He is not going to start now.
Please agree with us for her complete healing.
We told her tonight that she probably will have to start chemo again and she
cried. She was more upset about her hair I think than anything else. It
was really growing fast and looked good.
We love you and thank God for you. Please pass this information on to your
friends and family and ask them to visit www.erinhope.com
