Merry Christmas to all! We pray that this Christmas and New Years will
be the most blessed of all time for you and your family. There has been
a lot going on around here lately.

I have not updated you on Erin Hope's last CT scan. A couple of weeks
ago she had another scan that revealed more lesions and growth of the
lesions that were already there. They also suspect some lymph node
involvement in her chest area as well. The doctors are not hopeful at
all and are always recommending palliative (keep her comfortable) care.
But, they will do whatever we want to do. When asked how she felt about
what the doctor had said, Erin Hope's reply was, "I don't care what they
say." Meaning, I don't care what they say, I'm going to beat this
thing! She still does not show any signs of compromise with the
exception that she seems a little tired and a little short of breath but
she denies being short of breath.

So, unfortunately the treatment that she was taking was not indicating
signs of it being effective. She remains on that treatment until we
decide what to do next. We think our next treatment will one that we
have considered before that has less toxic side effects associated with
it. The doctors are looking into possibly starting her on it after the
first of the year.

For all of you Clay Aiken fans out there. Erin Hope got to meet Clay
this past weekend!!! She was invited to a "Skate With Clay" party in
Raleigh, NC where the NHL Carolina Hurricanes play. For the longest
time she was unable to get very close to him but she finally sat down in
a chair on the ice and Clay came over and pushed her for a little while
and asked her her name. Erin Hope said he was funny on the ice. All
the kids and family members got to hear him sing when he was doing his
sound check. He will be singing tonight at the Hurricane's game.

Thanks to all of you who made her trip to Raleigh a very special one.
We love you!

Thanks also to you that are faithful to pray for her and our family. We
are trusing in the Lord Jesus Christ for a complete healing so that she
can grow older and win others to Christ. Already, this past year, 3
souls have been born into God's kingdom. God is so good!!!

God bless you!!!
God is good...ALL the time!!!
Stand Strong!!!
