We heard from Dr. McLean at Baptist Hospital tonight.  The "Tumor Board" has recommended unanimously that the next step for Erin would be surgical resection (removal) of the tumor.  There has been a response to chemo, but not a real dramatic one.  The tumor has not shrunk very much down the inferior vena cava (the large blood vessel going back to the heart) but has decreased in size in the liver.  Dr.Turner (the surgeon) feels that he can get it all.  He does, however, want Dr. Hines, the cardiothoracic (heart) surgeon to be in there with him and be prepared to put her on heart by-pass if needed.

Dr. Hines is currently out of town so we don't know exactly what date the surgery will be.  It could be as early as next Thursday, Oct. 3 or the following Thurs., Oct 10.

Please continue to pray that this is the right thing to do at this time.  Please also pray for God's annointing on the doctors and nurses and all those that will be involved.  And, for Erin Hope to have a speedy recovery.

Erin Hope is feeling quite well and relieved that she doesn't have to have chemo again this weekend.  Please continue to pray for Erin and the family.

This past Sunday night we had The Perrys gospel quartet at our church.  They have had several number one gospel songs and are just fantastic!  Erin Hope's Dad's good friend, Curt Davis is one of their singers.  In fact, Curt was his best man when Erin Hope's parents got married.  God really blessed that night.  You can visit their website at www.perrysministries.com   Be looking for a picture or two on their website and Erin Hope's for pictures taken with Curt.

Thanks so much and God Bless You!
