UPDATE:
Erin Hope is now home from the hospital. Praise
the Lord! She is feeling a little weak and having some pain but wanted
to and went to her favorite Italian restaurant last night. She is now on
an anti-seizure medication which she will take indefinitely. This is not
uncommon after brain surgery and she has NOT had any seizures.
She will be traveling to Maryland this week to
the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute to enter
into a chemotherapy clinical trial. Please be assured that we are only
doing things that Erin Hope herself wants to do. She is a fighter and
believes that she will beat this and be healed and is just waiting on God for
His chosen moment.
Unfortunately, Erin Hope had to miss the Clay Aiken
concert that she had 4th row seats at. Her aunt was there and gave Erin
Hope a "Cell-cert": a concert by cell phone, in her hospital
room. She was quite upset that she missed it but we told her that maybe
we can go to another concert later in the tour and hopefully get some close
seats.
Thank you so much for continuing to pray for Erin
Hope and her family. We have a tremendous support group in all of you
and have received many emails and guestbook entries, as well as phone calls
and hospital visits. You are so amazing and comforting to us. We
love you all so much!
Many thanks goes to the counselors and the fine
medical staff at the Nascar charity, Victory Junction Gang Camp ( www.victoryjunction.org
) for the fantastic medical treatment she received before being transferred to
the hospital. The E.R. staff at Baptist Hospital were very complimentary
and impressed with their medical care. Thanks so much Abby, Lucy, Dr.
Space and the wonderful caring nurses there.
We'll keep you updated later this week or the first
of next week on how her visit to Maryland is going. She will be there
for several days.
God bless you all! Remember, God is
good...ALL the time!!!
