Erin Hope was able to leave the hospital
yesterday afternoon. Praise God! The first place that she wanted
to go to was the mall. Go figure! She ate a good lunch at TGI
Fridays and did some shopping; for clothes, what else? She is doing much
better but still has a slight congested cough. The doctors believe it
was a virus that just practically wiped out her immune system's reserve.
One of the things that was concerning was
that her blood pressure and her heart rate had dropped. Her blood
pressure improved after receiving some blood the other day. She also
had to receive some platelets (helps in blood clotting) yesterday before
leaving the hospital. Her heart rate remains in the 40s and drops
sometimes into the 30s (that’s 30-40 beats per minute). Normally,
her heart rate should be between 60-100. She had an EKG and an
echocardiogram on Saturday that were both normal, with the exception of her
heart rate. The doctors believe that one of the tumors is pressing
on the vagus nerve that when stimulated, can slow the heart rate down.
That is something that they feel is not necessary to treat at this time
since she has signs of good circulation.
Thanks so much to all of you who have
diligently prayer for Erin Hope. We love you so much! We are
still uncertain as to the next step in treatment but believe that God is going
to restore her health and heal her. We are claiming it through the
promises found in His word. Please claim it with us. We'll update
you soon as to our decisions.
God bless you! God is good...ALL
the time!!!
