Erin Hope went to Baptist Hospital today for another CT scan, an echocardiogram and a hearing test (to make sure that one of the chemo drugs she was on before didn't damage her hearing).   I hoped that I would have some good news to share but I don't.  The spots on her left lung have actually increased a little in size.  Also, there are more very small spots in other areas of the left lung.  Now, also, there are some very small spots that are showing up in her other lung as well.  They are certain that these are cancerous.  The doctor said that this is "not good".  But, he also said that it didn't look good for her when they first saw her back in August.  We do not know the next step as of yet, neither do the doctors.  They will contact the National Cancer Institute and other specialists throughout the country for their opinions.  Adriamycin, one of the chemo drugs that she was taking has a lifetime dosage amount.  She is very, very close to her lifetime dosage and may not be able to take anymore of that drug.  There are other drug combinations that can be tried but the response may be limited.  The problem is that this kind of cancer is so rare and research is very limited.  Surgery is not an option at this time.  Her liver and the rest of her chest and abdomen looked fine on todays scan.  We are supposed to call the doctor tomorrow afternoon for a tentative plan.

This is what we need you to do:  Fast and pray as the Lord Jesus Christ leads you.  Please pray for her complete healing and for God to get all of the glory.

I will leave you with this.  Erin Hope's Mom told her tonight that she has more spots in her lungs and that we were going to do everything possible to make her better.  Then she asked her if she was scared and she responded that she was not.  Then she said something that blew us away.   She said, "Maybe God is allowing me to get worse so He can make me better and it would be just like a real miracle."  Praise be unto the God of heaven.

God bless you and we love you!
